Baby A's Room

As we are inching towards the due date of Baby A (due this week!), we've finished up the baby's room as much as we can. Of course once we find out if it's a boy or girl, we'll get some more art on the wall (pinterest idea) to make the room more personal.

Last and final touch...crystal door knob
memory box

thanks again Mar Mar!

It's hard to believe this is where we started.....

Where we first began...
This was the room after we took out the wall-shelves and wood beams on the ceiling
lovely drapes
grass-cloth must have been popular at one time, right?
wallpaper off and new ceiling up!
new trim installed and carpet up
Thankful for helping hands with this room.

Oh, Baby A, we can't wait to meet you....

Love,
Eric and Courtney

Baby A's Closet

Last week we didn't have window treatments, nor did we have a closet (or closet doors for that matter) for the nursery.

Tommy and Eric were awesome this weekend with helping prepare the room with these final touches, and I finally feel like the room is done enough to bring Baby A home!  We still have some final changes to make, but I wanted to post a few pics of the blinds (which are a big deal if you haven't had window treatments for two years) and the closet system Eric installed from IKEA.

Blinds were from blinds.com on sale, curtains were $24.99 from IKEA, and the curtain rod with crystal ball finials was from Tuesday Mornings :)  Love deals!

IKEA PAX Closet System - Okay...this product line is awesome.  We looked at some similar configurations from the Container Store, and IKEA's prices were about 1/3rd the cost.  PLUS, it's super sturdy, looks great, and comes with a ten year warranty. Win, win.

Closet doors!!!

Stocking up!

I'm so thankful for my family's help, and for Eric's willingness and excitement to get the house ready for the baby.

The countdown has begun for Baby A to arrive.... 2.5 weeks :)  Here's to hoping the baby comes early.

December 2011

Why Hellllo......the past few weeks have been a blur with Eric's sisters wedding, Christmas celebrations, and preparing for our little one to arrive.  It's been such a fun time of year, definitely reminding me of how much family and friends are a blessing from God.

Since I've been slacking on the belly photos the last few weeks, I wanted to give an update.  It's been fun for me to look back on these pictures over 2011 and realize how my body has changed and how quickly this pregnancy has gone.  I'm really looking forward to meeting our baby and experiencing the joys of being a parent :)

Eric and I at Allison & Josh's wedding.  35 weeks!
Here are a few pics of the nursery in progress.... it should be more complete in a few weeks!  We ordered blinds and a closet organizational system, but they need to be installed.

What a week...

Hello friends!

The past week has been filled with exciting events in our lives!  First off, I watched my dearest friend Mariel marry the man of her dreams.  She looked so beautiful!  Eric and I are just thrilled for their new marriage and what God is going to do through them.

This past week we also celebrated my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary!  It was great to hear stories around the dinner table of how they started their courtship years ago :) Aren't they cute?

The fam.

And....to top it all off, we had our 20 week ultrasound!!!  Eric and I were in awe of how complete and complex God made our baby.  Baby A is health as can be and weighs right around 1lb :)  Seeing the baby for the first time and watching him/her move made the idea of being parents quite real!

It was so fun to see the baby sucking its thumb, waving its hands and sticking out his/her tongue.  While it was tempting at the time, we decided against finding out the baby's gender!  Until January, I'll just keep guessing...

Here is a profile shot of our little one:

Also, here are my belly shots for the last few weeks.  I've noticed growth a LOT more in the last few weeks and felt the baby move around 18 weeks!

Baby Anderson

And here are a few more belly pics!

Time has been flying with this pregnancy and I cannot believe we are half way done in less than 2.5 weeks.  I'm already anxiously awaiting the 20 week ultrasound to see how Baby has been growing and developing.

Today I had a doctors appointment and Baby's heart rate was 150 bpm.  So thankful for a healthy baby!

We've also been busy working around the house and I will post pictures soon of updates we've made.

Baby Anderson

Hiiiiii.

As many of you have noticed, blogging has taken a back seat the last few months.  This has mainly been due to the sickness and sleepiness that comes along with being pregnant.  Thankfully I've just entered the second trimester and am feeling much much better.

We're so thankful that God has given us this gift and are anxiously awaiting baby Anderson's arrival in mid-January.

Here are my first few belly shots for those of you who requested them :)

12 Weeks Along. I look tired.
