We're the Andersons!

Welcome!  We are Eric & Courtney Anderson. We’re 26. Our house is 46.  It’s our first home, and it’s located in Western Springs, IL. When we bought the house in 2009, we were coming from a one bedroom apartment in Oak Park.  Moving into a house with 3 times the amount of space, a great location, and the opportunity to decorate for the first time seemed so exciting!  There was only one big hesitation:  the house definitely showed its age (and the age of the previous owners).

Equipped with little experience and a lot of enthusiasm (and most importantly a father-in-law willing to teach us), we began our journey of home renovation at the beginning of 2010.  This blog is to document the day to day progress we make on our place. And although this project is time consuming and overwhelming at times, each step we make we get closer to turning this outdated house into a beautiful home.

We feel extremely blessed by what God has given us and desire to make this house into a warm, inviting, and comfortable place for friends, family, and those in need.
